The Ministry of the Interior and Mohammad Ashraf Ghani (the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan) held a meeting to discuss reform policies of the MOI. Subjects concerning the reform policies included counter-crime (crime prevention), policies to reform the police force of Kabul and policies affecting police educational programs in different provinces. Also among the concerns of the President was the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus among the police departments. In response to the growing number of virus infections, the Ministry of the Interior in Kabul has shut down its office for applicants applying for job vacancies with the ministry. There are currently 24 active cases of the virus in the country.
